Resumen
Surcos en la Piel (“Skin Grooves”) is a project that allows a group of women from San Cristóbal borough (Bogotá) to have Multi-Generational dialogues and to rework local practices from her rural memories through the arts and writing as an artistic and transformation means. This project’s set up has been taking place in “la Casa de Igualdad y Oportunidades de la localidad de San Cristóbal Sur y en la Junta de Acción Comunal Juan Rey, Sector I” (San Cristóbal Sur borough’ Opportunities & Equality House and the Community Action Board from the first sector of Juan Rey neighborhood). Reading and writing from Arts Education are the subjects emphasized, since it is important to promote educational spaces in non-conventional places where constraints and a little access to literacy processes are evidenced by the community. The aim is to recognize and demand the restitution of the rights of the women living in there. Arts Education is the basis of all the activities because it identifies us as a group and helps to develop communication skills, aesthetic appreciation, and sensitivity, all of which are enriched by the social environment.
