Apoyo a la gestión ambiental en la IPS Proseguir enfocado a los programas de residuos y limpieza y desinfección

Abstract

The lack of knowledge and ignorance in the environmental field conceives poor waste segregation practices worldwide, thus presenting effects on ecosystems, the management of different activities and human health. For this reason, it is vitally important to strengthen knowledge in waste disposal, proper management of personal protection elements, among others; through inspection, control and accompaniment routines to the area in the requirements and processes related to environmental management. For the hospital sector, it is necessary to intensify activities and actions in favor of the environment, aimed at the quality of the processes and services that the entity offers to users. From the environmental management area, it is essential to guarantee that all cleaning and disinfection processes and elements, waste disposal, structural parameters, personal protection, among others, are complete and correct, in order to provide good practices. It is for this reason that the environmental management system of the PROSEGUIR IPS entity is supported, through knowledge of the practices and activities carried out in the waste and cleaning and disinfection programs in order to identify their difficulties, to manage actions of improvement. In the hospital entity Asociación de Amigos contra el Cancer Prosegura, important modifications were presented in the routine cleaning and disinfection monitoring formats, following the visit of the Ministry of Health, the use of some products and methodologies were corrected. the environmental management area, in accordance with current legal environmental regulations.
