Resumen
The following work, we seek to provide a tool to the tannery companies of Villapinzón to identify with variables, data analysis and the use of the multi-criteria model the most effective wastewater treatment alternative for their process and in case of implementation to reduce pollution of the Bogotá River. the leather tanning process is one of the main causes of contamination of water resources in the upper basin of the Bogotá River due to the chemical waste and organic matter generated. the lack of standardization of processes and the population's lack of knowledge about the consequences and benefits of treatment make it difficult to mitigate this problem. in Villapinzón and the San Benito district of Bogotá there are around 420 tanneries, which significantly affects the environmental quality of Bogotá. the water of the Bogotá River, which is clean at its source, becomes contaminated as it passes through Villapinzón due to wastewater and chemicals from the tanneries. the initial results show non-compliance with current legal regulations (2023-2024), for which a multi-criteria conceptual model was established under analytical and standardized parameters according to environmental regulations. it is concluded that based on the findings, corrective actions must be carried out for the tanning companies of Villapinzon, due to the high polluting discharge of the waters in the main flows of the Bogotá River.
