Resumen
In this work, the preparation of extracts and fractions of A. muricata through the liquid-liquid extraction with solvents of low to high polarity (hexane, ethyl acetate and Hydroalcoholic residue) was performed; then it proceeded to evaluate the antitumor potential of murine and human tumor cells: 4T1, TSA and MCF-7 by cytotoxicity assays with tetrazolium salt (MTT) and morphological analysis after treatment for 48 hours. Subsequently, the ability of proliferation of MCF-7 tumor cells treated with the cytotoxic kinetics fractions 48, 72 and 96 hours was evaluated. Finally the fractions were characterized phytochemically by thin layer chromatography. As a result, this study found that the fractions A. SFt, HXP, AcOEtS, RHCs and HxJP showed cytotoxic activity against tumor cells associated with morphological changes (elongation and strain) secretion of vesicles and induction of cell death and decline the% cell viability. Fractions the IC50 and IC50 / 5 showed higher cytotoxic activity inducing a decreased proliferation of time-dependent manner. From the phytochemical characterization established that extracts and fractions containing essential oils, steroids, triterpenes, flavonoids and alkaloids, confirming that the presence of secondary metabolites associated with the cytotoxic activity of extracts, fractions and oils A. muricata.
