Metodología para planificación de redes de televisión digital terrestre en Colombia

Abstract

The open television operators in Colombia are initiating currently the deployment of digital terrestrial television networks under the DVB-T2 standard, and there is a need to unify network design criteria and standardize the planning, prediction and analysis processes of coverage and interference for efficient allocation of frecuencies. This project includes the analysis of propagation models for UHF television band, for establish the ideal models for prediction of propagation in Colombia from statistical comparisons with results of field measurements. Also, the project includes the analysis of the design parameters established in the DVB-T2 standard for the development of a 6 MHz bandwidth transmission channel simulation tool, and are defined criteria and procedures for the design of digital terrestrial television systems and the study of occupancy and interferences.
