Resumen
Estimating the Manning Roughness coefficient with low uncertainty is of vital importance in any hydraulic study, mainly in natural open channel flows. For the calculation of the roughness there are many empirical methods that are generally applicable only to a limited range of geometrical, geomechanical conditions of the bed and hydraulics of the river under study and that depend on the experience of the consultant or researcher. The method of the two points in the Negro River located in the department of Cundinamarca - Colombia is used, the results are compared with an empirical method, in addition the height of rugosity of the bed is estimated that allows to establish that the Negro River is macro-rough with uniform flow.

Estimar con baja incertidumbre el coeficiente de rugosidad de manning es de vital importancia en cualquier estudio hidráulico, principalmente en flujos de canales abiertos naturales. Para el cálculo de la rugosidad existen muchos métodos empíricos que generalmente son aplicables solo a un intervalo limitado de condiciones geométricas, geomecánicas del lecho e hidráulicas del río en estudio y que dependen de la experiencia del consultor o investigador. Se usa el método de los dos puntos en el Río Negro ubicado en el departamento de Cundinamarca - Colombia, los resultados se comparan con un método empírico, además se estima la altura de rugosidad del lecho que permita establecer que el Río Negro es macro-rugoso con flujo uniforme.
