Resumen
In this paper discusses the design and implementation of a single-axis horizontal solar tracker, determined from a linear motion mechanism and controlled by a system that tracks the exact position of the Sun when using simple information such as latitude, longitude and time. Where the panel is located, obtaining the solar elevation angle and then orienting the inclination of the solar panel. The solar energy obtained from this follower can be used later to turn on a water generation system, especially when this prototype is implemented in remote locations, giving greater energy efficiency and autonomy to the prototype, taking into account the mechanical limitations and the environmental conditions that they influence the solar panel and therefore the energy storage.
