Resumen
In this section of the Voces y Regiones program, the discussion focuses on the coca leaf as an alternative for peace, emphasizing its use in food production and other products, in contrast to its exploitation by drug trafficking. It highlights how farmers in Guaviare have developed initiatives to manufacture products from coca leaves, promoting their consumption as a "plant of life" rather than a "plant that kills."
The interviewees stress the importance of changing the perception of the coca leaf, arguing that in the hands of farmers, it can represent an opportunity for development and sustainability in rural communities. They also reflect on the need to build peace in Colombia, emphasizing the role of each individual in fostering collective well-being.
Additionally, the discussion highlights the responsibility of the media in promoting messages that contribute to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence. Finally, the program addresses how domestic violence can fuel the cycle of conflict in the country, underscoring the importance of discussing peace and, more importantly, practicing it in daily life.
