| dc.description | This paper shown the comparative analysis between the use of TCM-8PSK instead of QPSK and a variable code-rate convolutional inner code that is used in DVB-S standard. It is shown that the use of the former technique allows for a higher capacity in terms of number of programs (or digital contents) without modify the transmission bandwidth and MPEG-2's source coding. It is also analyzed the impact on the terminal ground receiver. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el presente trabajo se hace un análisis comparativo del uso de la modulación codificada TCM-8PSK en sustitución de la modulación QPSK y el código interno convolucional de razón de código variable que se utiliza en la norma DVB-S. Se demuestra que el uso de esta técnica combinada de modulación y codificación permite incrementar la capacidad de transmisión en términos de programas (o contenidos digitales) sin modificar el ancho de banda de transmisión y la codificación de fuente MPEG-2. También se analiza el impacto del uso de esta técnica en el terminal terreno receptor. | es-ES |
