| dc.description | San Pedro Claver Sanctuary Museum works since 1950 in the cloister of the Jesuits of Cartagena. This space is dedicated to honor the memory of this saint, who in the colony was dedicated to the protection of the thousands of slaves who arrived in Cartagena de Indias. This museum has an archaeological collection of pre-Columbian material and of the colony, one of religious art from different eras, as well as a collection donated by the Zapata Olivella family. The object of the present article is to see the way in which this museum is a space of memory, as well as to analyze its functioning and organization. | en-US |
| dc.description | El Museo Santuario San Pedro Claver funciona desde el año 1950 en el claustro de los jesuitas de Cartagena. Este espacio está dedicado a honrar la memoria de este santo, que en la colonia se dedicó a la protección de los miles de esclavos que llegaban a Cartagena de Indias. Este museo cuenta con una colección arqueológica de material precolombino y de la colonia, una de arte religioso de diferentes épocas, así como una colección donada por la familia Zapata Olivella. El objeto del presente artículo es ver la manera en que este museo es un espacio de memoria, así como analizar su funcionamiento y organización. | es-ES |
