Resumen
Drinking water treatment plants (DWTP) are designed with the goal of provide optimal quality water for human consumption, providing an indispensable service for the survival and development of a community. Design and construction of plants and studies of the water source that feeds the plants are standardized by a group of regulations in Colombia to ensure the optimal design of the same as for the quality of water resources delivered to the beneficiary population avoiding bad investments, poorly structured projects or poor quality of both the product and the customer service; generated by both the poor design choice of font. This research is aimed to check the compliance with 20 water treatment plants in municipalities and towns in Cundinamarca, evaluating their processes and unit operations that make up the plant.
