Resumen
Teachers are exposed to various risk factors in their work, one of the most prevalent is the biomechanical risk due to bipedal or prolonged sitting postures and repetitive tasks; Due to this, a program of health promotion and osteomuscular pathology prevention for secondary school teachers of the Santa Bernadette High School was elaborated and with the purpose of proposing specific improvements for this institution a transversal study was previously developed in which they will be identified the most frequent biomechanical risk factors and the most prevalent symptomatology in the teachers. Obtaining as a result that the body segment most affected is the thoracolumbar region associated with the prolonged positions of teachers; In addition to this, it could be concluded that extra-labor factors may influence the appearance or not of disorders due to cumulative trauma, therefore it is necessary to carry out investigations that address this problem in greater depth.
