Resumen
In this section of the Voces y Regiones program, the discussion focuses on transparency in public administration in Colombia as a key mechanism to combat corruption and strengthen public trust in institutions.
Transparency in public management involves accountability, access to information, and oversight of state resources, allowing citizens and regulatory bodies to monitor government administration. In Colombia, various strategies have been implemented, such as Sectoral Anti-Corruption Agreements, which aim to engage public and private entities in the fight against corruption by promoting good governance practices.
In this context, Transparencia por Colombia plays a crucial role as an organization dedicated to promoting integrity and combating corruption. Through research, monitoring public policies, and fostering dialogue, this entity works to strengthen citizen oversight mechanisms and encourage a culture of transparency in the country.
The program also highlights the importance of citizen oversight mechanisms, such as social watchdog groups (veedurías ciudadanas) and digital platforms, to ensure public management supervision and prevent corruption.
