Abstract

The radio program "Voices and Regions" of the Directorate for Citizen Participation and Community Action of the Ministry of the Interior, in its eleventh episode, focuses on citizen participation in the department of Risaralda. Eduardo Montoya, Victoria Giraldo, Sebastián Jiménez and Albert Cárdenas discuss the different forms of citizen participation, including private, social and political participation. The program features the participation of the governor of Risaralda, Carlos Alberto Botero López, who highlights the participatory budget processes and citizen meetings in the department. In addition, Dr. Ana Carolina Pérez Borges is interviewed about the mechanisms of citizen participation in Colombia. The initiative "Pereira Cómo Vamos" is also presented, which promotes citizen participation through community interventions.
