El arte de transcribir: una propuesta sobre la práctica del dibujo

Abstract

I have always drawn images that appear circumstantially, things that seduce me, that are a visual challenge, things that pose a question in their form. The content has always been disregarded; in this work, I try to atone in the forms, in the textures of the surfaces, in search of content. The development of this work allowed me to establish relationships that have always been in the service of my ideas and drawings, as well as forcing me to find some answers that are posed by the drawings of others. Questions as basic as What is drawing? Why do we draw? And How do we draw? Stop being, in my case, a simple formal concern and become a conceptual questioning. Something that, in my experience, is not resolved with theorems but with exercises, experiments to which I cannot attribute a final result or a verifiable conclusion.
