Resumen
Within the processes of musical initiation of the saxophone, this degree work presents an alternative pedagogical practice within chamber music involving musical genres from the Colombian Andean region: bambuco, chotís, danza, pasillo, and guabina. This work consists of creating three musical arrangements and their assembly, with the support of seven students from the Centro Cultural Bacatá Music School in Funza, Cundinamarca, in a saxophone quintet and percussion group. It seeks to apply the concept and tools of chamber music not only into advanced processes but also from an initial process, with students who have been playing the instrument for a short time, adding the plus of approaching and understanding some genres of Colombian musical tradition
