The image contains news about the decree providing for the circulation of the macuquina currency, issued by Simón Bolívar. The decree originated from the difficulties caused by previous orders that restricted the circulation of macuquina currency in the departments of Cundinamarca and Boyacá, which resulted in a shortage of small currency and numerous conflicts and frauds. Recognizing that the macuquina currency is vital for commerce and especially beneficial for the most needy classes, the decree orders its free circulation at nominal value. It is established that all real machine currency must be accepted in all transactions and payments, both by individuals and by institutions and government offices.
