Resumen
This thesis explores the construction of language in theater, not only as a cultural and audiovisual medium, but also as an educational element with its own communicative structure and as an individual and social author. Theater is justified as a collection of knowledge that connects a reflective mind with the audience, transmitting ideas and creating a language of two natures: an elitist external structure that generates a code, and a collective text-context to reassemble the ways of seeing the environment. Theater transforms the individual into an audiovisual tool for the conceptualization and representation of the social being, becoming a necessary cultural element for social development.
The research analyzes theater as a representative element of the individual, addressing the work as a mirror that reflects humanity and the soul, and the actor as the one in charge of personifying and exposing the spectator. It examines the search for sensations for the creation of the representative resource, the stages in the approach to the character (remembering, selecting, renaming, appropriating), and the importance of contrast and collective work in the confrontation with the director. Also, the role of the audience and the construction of theatrical language through the sign, the linguistic code, non-verbal elements, and the application of Wittgenstein's concepts are discussed. Finally, the play "Los campanarios del silencio" (The Belfries of Silence) by Henry Díaz Vargas is analyzed, contextualizing it and representing its language through symbols and language games.
