Resumen
The image contains news about the Circular issued by José María Obando on June 30, 1831. This circular provides for the confiscation of the gold coins that present Colombian weapons and are dated between the years 1821 and 1822. The document points out that the circulation of the national currency, both gold and silver, is being affected by growing counterfeiting, especially in the department of Antioquia, where distrust has spread and the acceptance of reales and escudos is difficult. Given this situation, the vice president in charge of the executive branch has ordered the prefect of the region to monitor and use all available legal means to discover and punish counterfeiters according to current laws. It is ordered to confiscate and send to the capital all gold coins with Colombian weapons and dated between 1811 and 1821, ensuring their unusability and subsequent remission for collection. News published in the Official Registry. June 30, 1831.
