Resumen
The degree work explores the relationship between art, spirituality, and culture, arguing that contemporary art needs to reconnect with cultural and spiritual traditions. It highlights the museum as a meeting place for aesthetic appreciation and reflection, emphasizing the importance of memory and personal testimonies in artistic creation. The influence of rituals on art and the challenges art faces in the current context are addressed, suggesting a return to roots to maintain its relevance.
The concept of the sacred and how it manifests in religious objects and spaces is examined, as well as the relationship between religion and mythology. Furthermore, the figure of the religious leader and the interpretation of sacred texts are analyzed, contrasted with fanaticism and literalness. The poverty of "new temples" is criticized in comparison to traditional temples. The work also focuses on symbols and iconography, particularly the representation of birds, the staff, and columns as key elements in mythical and religious expression. The roles of birds within the author's own myth are described: as divinity, mediator, and trickster, exploring their symbolic meanings and their relationship to the sacred. Also, the use of primary colors in the paintings is mentioned: black, white, ochre, and red.
