Resumen
The radio program "Voices and Regions" is positioned as a space for dialogue and reflection on crucial issues for the development of communities. In this broadcast, the importance of building safe and healthy environments through citizen participation is delved into. The key points that were discussed are: • Health as a comprehensive concept: Professor Nancy Elena Cerón, an expert in health promotion, highlights that health goes beyond the absence of disease. It is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, which is built day by day through individual and collective actions. • SaludArte: an innovative strategy: The University of Nariño, through the SaludArte project, has developed a comprehensive strategy to promote healthy habits in the university community and in schools. This initiative is based on the active participation of students, who become multipliers of knowledge about nutrition, physical activity and mental health. • Responsible Hearts: This training program seeks to empower young people to become agents of change in their communities. Through workshops and recreational activities, participants acquire tools to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent diseases. • The importance of citizen participation: The program emphasizes the fundamental role of citizens in building safe and habitable environments. Listeners are invited to get involved in community initiatives and to report any situation that puts their well-being at risk. • Disease prevention: The importance of prevention is highlighted as a key strategy to improve the health of the population. Through healthy habits such as a balanced diet, regular physical activity and mental health care, it is possible to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. • Electoral transparency: The program also addresses the importance of electoral transparency and presents the Immediate Reaction Unit for Electoral Transparency (Uriel) as a mechanism to report irregularities during electoral processes.
