Seguimiento y apoyo en planes de gestión ambiental en OXXO Colombia

Abstract

The main objective of the internship was to support the development and design of OXXO Colombia's Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring its alignment with international standards, particularly ISO 14001. During this process, the intern acted as a liaison between OXXO and the external consultancy in charge of the project, facilitating communication and ensuring compliance with the established objectives. In addition, work was done to optimize non-hazardous solid waste management, strengthening the relationship with the suppliers responsible for its management. This involved implementing monitoring activities, coordinating strategic meetings, and providing essential documentation to environmental service providers. These actions led to improved operational efficiency and progress in reducing the environmental impact of operations.The collaborative work between the various stakeholders enabled a more fluid design of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and a better integration of sustainability principles throughout the company. As a result, a solid foundation was established for continuous improvement in environmental management, reinforcing OXXO's commitment to environmental responsibility.
