Objectfinder: sistema de información para el registro y consulta de objetos perdidos y encontrados en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Distrital

Abstract

The OBJECTFINDER research project of the specialization of Software Engineering of the Francisco José de Caldas District University (hereinafter UD), is a project that seeks to develop and solve the problems present in the university in terms of the loss of personal objects and reports of found objects, having as first place of implantation the Faculty of Engineering. The present document describes in detail the problem to be solved, its antecedents and the different options that are available to the community but that do not satisfy the solution of all the critical points of the presented problem, having as reference data, statistics and experiences of the city of Bogotá and some public and private organizations of our country. In addition to this, the proposal of the solution will be detailed, together with the design and architecture of the OBJECTFINDER information system that will be based on a data model that will allow the functionality of the same, supported by the required infrastructure that will also be detailed in the this document. It also details the proposed solution focused on a system of high usability and easily accessible for people, having as a necessary tool the Internet, where using different tools, methods and techniques of agile software development is intended to fulfill the objectives set out in the present document, without neglecting possible strategies for dissemination of information such as social networks and the use of the system by the community at a productive stage. As a successful result of the project implementation, it is expected to have a functional software prototype that allows a person to consult or report an object in the Faculty of Engineering of the UD using the information system either through the web or a mobile device. Finally, the document describes the proposed planning for the development of the project, where taking into account the deadline delivery is proposed a development plan and a budget for the completion of the same in order to comply with the results expected.
