| dc.description | In this essay I explore some arguments from Hannah Arendt, to reveal the reasons that explain the hate showed in the artistic discussions at the beginnings of the XXth century, hate that persists in many artistic scenarios today. With Arendt I sustain that hate is not overcome, because is the tool that Capital deploys to amalgamate all those disinherited it has created. I place the following Arendt’s argument in the context of the Colombian artistic practice: capitalism created an amalgam of frustrated social, political and aesthetic beings that destroys the public sphere as place for politics. She calls this amalgam populace. I introduce the aesthetic populace category, to talk about the hate that has animated the artistic practices in Colombia since 1940. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este ensayo exploro algunos argumentos de Hannah Arendt, con el fin de mostrar las razones que explican el odio que se manifestaba en las discusiones artísticas de comienzos del siglo XX, odio que persiste aún en muchos escenarios artísticos actuales. Con Arendt sostengo que este fenómeno no está superado, porque el odio es la herramienta que despliega el Capital, para amalgamar a todos los desheredados que ha creado. Contextualizo en la práctica artística colombiana el siguiente argumento de Arendt: el capitalismo creó una amalgama de frustrados sociales, políticos y estéticos que destruye la esfera pública como lugar para el acontecer de la política, amalgama que denominó populacho. Introduzco la categoría de populacho estético, para hablar del odio que ha animado las prácticas artísticas en Colombia desde 1940. | es-ES |
