Resumen
The public policies regarding Environmental Education and Teaching Environmental Education become very important elements in the social transformation required at present, as a consequence of the environmental crisis that we are living. Incorporating these policies is a great commitment that is primarily the responsibility of government administrations. In the city of Bogotá, this commitment is assumed when the District Public Policy on Environmental Education is formulated, in response to the transformations required by our society. Implementing these policies from the district administrations requires the declaration of some objectives, strategies, means and actions to achieve them. For this reason, it is important to have an objective understanding of the territory and, in particular, of the environmental dimension, so that the assumed proposal is thought out and articulated according to a continuous process with the established priorities. It is in this sense that the exploration of the District Public Policy of Environmental Education (PPDEA) is of vital importance to establish what have been the epistemological approaches that support it in terms of environmental teacher training.
