Resumen
The image contains news about Ordinance No. 7 of 1888, which deals with the organization of the Colegio de La Merced. The ordinance reflects concern for the preservation and improvement of this secondary school. The ordinance establishes that the Governor of the Department will assume the inspection, teaching and administration of the College, including determining the curriculum, appointing teachers and regulating the internal regime. Likewise, a Director is appointed for free appointment and removal by the departmental Government. Conditions are established for the granting of scholarships to students, such as being born in Cundinamarca, having moral conduct considered by the government to be impeccable, and committing to taking the entire curriculum to obtain the Teacher's Diploma. The ordinance also authorizes the Governor to contract the administration of the College in exceptional cases and to set staff salaries. News published in Gaceta de Cundinamarca. July 31, 1888.
