Abstract

This monograph forward the reflection about jazz music and the work of the french composer Claude Bolling on classical guitar concert and trio jazz. This review allows a reflection given by the analysis of the work, with the primary objective to find and classify the elements of jazz and classical music, as well as the way in which the composer establishes a dialogue between them. These factors have been obtained due to the bibliography analysis, musical scores and also professional support. It make noticeable in general that some jazz and classical structural elements, when they are emptied of content, become stereotypes of music. Thus, the composer integrates those structures with an ingenious musical discourse that rightly becomes available to broad public.
