Estudio de valoración de riesgos en las actividades de reciclaje de residuos sólidos aprovechables, para el diagnóstico de seguridad y salud en el trabajo en la Entidad Medioambiental de Recicladores EMRS ESP, ubicada en el barrio Maria Paz de la localidad de Kennedy- Bogotá

Abstract

The development of this academic project frames the assessment of risks in the activities of recycling of usable solid waste, for the diagnosis of the safety and health at work, in the Environmental Entity of Recyclers EMRS located in the María Paz neighborhood in the locality of Kennedy in the city of Bogotá D.C, in which are developed productive processes that due to their complexity can generate different type of risks, that could affect negatively the health and the safety of the workers that do their activities and put their efforts in this labor daily. The assessment of the risks associated with the recycling work, was done at the first instance, through the application of the GTC 45, a Colombian Technical Guide, for the identification of the dangers and the evaluation of the occupational risks of safety and health, in order to elaborate a diagnosis of the work conditions and determine the inherent risks in the processes and activities carried out in the EMRS. According to the results obtained, once the level of risk was identified in each of the factors analyzed, the most representatives were defined, which correspond to the ergonomical risks of unacceptable nature for all areas of the entity and all charges evaluated and a level of physical risk unacepptable produced for noise for the metal operator. The main effects that can be generated on the integrity and health of the workers were described, according to the recycling processes done in the entity of the EMRS ESP, in order to contribute to the improvement of the conditions of hygiene, safety and health at their environment of work. In conclusion, the Environmental Entity of Recyclers EMRS ESP presents high and unacceptable levels of risk in all areas and processes related to the recycling activities, for which is urgent to improve, the prevention and correction procedures and implement more specific controls to reduce the risks and thus avoid the cessation of their work activities.
