The image contains news about a circular from the Republic of New Granada, dated March 23, 1856, where the revenue secretary expresses its concern about the carelessness of some parish employees in reading the official newspaper of the province, which is the means of communication of government regulations. Arguing the need to read that newspaper, the mayor is called on to guarantee that officials fulfill their duty to inform themselves about government resolutions and the monthly sending of a list of the rulings issued in the district is requested. La imagen contiene una noticia acerca de una circular de la República de la Nueva Granada, fechada el 23 de marzo de 1856, donde la secretaría de rentas expresa su preocupación por el descuido de algunos empleados parroquiales en la lectura del periódico oficial de la provincia, que es el medio de comunicación de las disposiciones gubernamentales. Argumentando la necesidad de leer ese periodico, se llama al alcalde a garantizar que los funcionarios cumplan con el deber de informarse sobre las resoluciones gubernativas y se solicita el envío mensual de una relación de las providencias dictadas en el distrito.
