Resumen
The following work supports the feasibility of performing dimensional control and characterization of tolerances to parts manufactured by additive manufacturing more precisely in the application of mechanical assemblies by means of the 3D scanning method.
The developed work intends to contribute to the satisfaction of the need that is currently present in the industry to optimize the manufacturing processes of spare parts in order to reduce time, costs and improve availability. As a main reference in the improvement of the manufacturing processes are countries such as Spain and such as Spain and Germany where the industrial sector is betting on new additive manufacturing techniques and the implementation of high technological development equipment to provide customer satisfaction. In Colombia there are already a large number of product developers using rapid prototyping techniques and large national industries have had to update their processes through the implementation of all those technologies that Industry 4.0 brings with it. In this way, the development of the activities that will be carried out in this work will allow adding technological value to the products that today are developed by modern manufacturing methods, especially in terms of process stability and quality of tolerances, dimensional that characterize the mechanical assemblies.
