The study was conducted at the Torre 35 (T35) site of Apex América S.A.S., a contact center (BPO) located in Bogotá, D.C., where more than 1,000 agents work in high-density workspaces. The primary objective of the study was to evaluate indoor air quality through continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration, temperature, and relative humidity, alongside workers’ subjective perceptions of thermal comfort and reference values established by international standards. The study was conducted at this location because the company needed to objectively quantify and assess recurring employee complaints related to fatigue and discomfort, while previously lacking technical data to characterize these concerns and prioritize appropriate interventions. Furthermore, the study contributes to compliance with applicable national occupational safety and health regulations, including Decree 1072 of 2015, by providing the organization with an evidence-based baseline to support decision-making aimed at improving the work environment and employee well-being.
