Abstract

In this program, the central theme is the relationship between man and nature from the perspective of indigenous peoples, in the voice of indigenous peoples, especially the Nasa people, and their relationship with nature. Although some institutions are mentioned indirectly, the emphasis is on indigenous communities and their struggles to defend their territories and the environment. The development of the interview focused on the indigenous worldview on the relationship between humans and nature, emphasizing the importance of caring for and respecting the Earth as a mother. Gilberto Muchicón, a leader of the NASA people, shared his knowledge and experience about the as environmental mandate of his community and the need to protect nature, to see the Earth as a mother and that deep spiritual connection between indigenous peoples and nature, considering the Earth as a living and sacred entity. As an indigenous person, he explained the concept of the as environmental mandate as a set of norms and principles that guide the relationship of indigenous peoples with nature, and he criticized the development model imposed by transnational companies and the government, which they consider harmful to nature and indigenous communities. In this order, they highlight the importance of environmental education in communities regarding the importance of caring for nature and adopting sustainable practices.
