Abstract

Given the importance of the Internet connection about supporting learning processes, it has become necessary for institutions of Higher Education such as Andes University , implement wireless networks capable of supplying a high number of users with their specific connection requirements within their installations, such as speed, stability in the connection, adequate bandwidth for access to different academic contents, etc. For the successful implementation of the new block C wireless network, a design is made with the help of specialized software taking into account good practices, the theory on the propagation of radio frequency signals, the documentation issued by different manufacturers of Wifi Technology and the defined standards. Having the design, the respective implementation is carried out and its correct operation is corroborated through a Site Survey and a load test.
