Resumen
In the Voces y Regiones program, the essential role of Community Action Boards (JAC) in the productive processes of the Quindío department, particularly in Armenia, is discussed. Carlos Eduardo Marín emphasizes the need to strengthen these community organizations, highlighting the importance of education and training for their members to effectively access resources and improve community management.
Community Action Boards are non-profit civic organizations dedicated to promoting local development and citizen participation. In Quindío, efforts have been made to strengthen these boards through initiatives such as the Community Action Bank and the Unique Community Registry, which facilitate project submissions to the Ministry of the Interior and other institutions.
Additionally, educational initiatives have been implemented for JAC members, including literacy campaigns and training in basic and civic competencies, in collaboration with educational institutions and local authorities.
