Abstract

Juan Piña with La Revelación. La travesía del hombre hicotea desde tiempos de antaño hasta su transmutación en inmediaciones cosmopolitans, is an investigation of the group formed by Juan and Carlos Piña in the mid 70's, as well as the social and cultural context of the songs recorded with that orchestra, taking as a starting point the origin of both brothers and the municipality where they were born: San Marcos, located in the department of Sucre in the Colombian Caribbean region. Through the journey that these musicians undertook from an early age, stories, anecdotes and influences are spun around their lives, which are plowing a field in the commercial field of the recording industry in Medellin. The result of this work is embodied in two multimedia elements: the first, of an interactive nature, which consists of an HTML5 booklet that houses the record catalog of La Revelación between 1975 and 1985 and the second, of a cinematographic nature, which houses the process of the information collected in the form of an ethnographic documentary.
