Resumen
The research strategy of Environmental Education for sustainable development, “case study of the community of La Bonga de San Basilio de Palenque”; it propose the design of a non-formal environmental education model, which communed with the traditional knowledge of the participating bonguera community; thus allowing them to enliven their knowledge, understanding that the consequences that their actions can unleash in their ecosystem are problematic for the Tropical Dry Forest, their commitment to change and the responsibility that falls to them in terms of current practices. Beginning with the statement of the problem, its respective analysis, the observation of current environmental conflicts, and the need to mitigate them. with the support of the participatory action methodology and the use of interdisciplinary techniques that contributed to the resolution of some of its problems, learning from experience and praxis, in conjunction with the analysis of case studies from real situations. Its focus on sustainable development in context (time/space) sought to build knowledge and at the same time sensitize the displaced population of La Bonga from the San Basilio de Palenque district in the department of Bolívar on the proper management of their natural resources, in the quest to deploy SDG # 15 called Life and terrestrial ecosystems (Unesco, 2016). The model will be a proposal applicable to the conservation of the Tropical Dry Forest, which reinforces and oxygenates knowledge about environmental variables, such as the reduction of air pollution, water sources and soil, fragmentation, and the exploitation of its natural resources, In any case, a favorable condition was sought, which would cause a better quality of life, equality in the territory and shortly return to their lands in peace.
