Qué visssaje: Estéticas drag y performatividad en la opinión pública Bogotana

Abstract

Drag art and transformism have already been studied in different ways, however, due to its more popular origin, many of these studies still follow a Eurocentric logic even in contexts that try to move away ideologically from such. In that sense, proposing to investigate drag aesthetics according to the Colombian context, and specifically, the Bogotá context, implies talking precisely about the greatest differentials of a vision cultivated in potato-growing lands. In this work, it was investigated not only how Bogotá drag aesthetics are established but also what factors related to performativity are decisive in their structuring in public opinion, based on different analyzes regarding the visual, the intentional, the social and, in that order of ideas, the political. This research work allowed to consolidate and structure a staging in the form of a multimedia installation that shows the results of the analysis and that gives meaning to the work of creation and interpretation.
