Abstract

This image contains news about the chamber chaired by the author, considering the importance of the decree of October 4, 1836 that orders the establishment of Sunday schools, has resolved to take measures for its compliance. First, the vital importance of these schools to the province and the state as a whole is recognized. Second, although the governor reported that there was a Sunday school in the capital for a few months, in the rest of the province of Apolo they have not been able to establish them, without explaining the reasons for their interruption or the obstacles in the parish districts, third, accepts that establishments of this type face inconveniences at the beginning, but with perseverance and interest, they can be overcome. Therefore, as of yesterday, it has been decided to instruct the governor and the administrative council of the primary education society to punctually comply with the decree of October 4, 1836. They must take all necessary measures and report to the chamber in their sessions about progress and any obstacles they have not been able to overcome.
