Resumen
This work investigates the traditional world, the industrial world and the artistic world of ceramics in Ráquira, a Colombian municipality in the Department of Boyacá. It proposes that these three worlds, connected and mixed in different ways, are in constant cultural struggles, in the capitalist world-system. As an embodied and sensitive way of approaching them and the systemic gears, it introduces the concept of skin-world. The researching route activates three forms of creation. The first one is a narrative exploration concentrated on story writing and based on conversations with craftsmen and women. The second form of creation, also linked to the production of knowledge, is materialized in ceramic pieces, made in line with these worlds. The third one, a long- term agency challenge, in order to enable certain cultural and economic transformations, tries to generate new creative links between these worlds of ceramics in Ráquira.
