Resumen
Ensuring sustainable regulation of forest resource utilization is paramount, with responsibility falling on public institutions such as the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS) at the national level, and Regional Autonomous Corporations (CAR) and Corporations of Sustainable Development (CDS) at the regional level in Colombia. These entities oversee the administration, granting, and monitoring of permits for forest resource utilization and the restoration of degraded areas. The Regional Autonomous Corporation of Boyacá handles these processes within its jurisdiction, encompassing four territories and 87 municipalities in the department. From its territorial office in Soatá, it manages permits for unique, persistent, and domestic forest resource utilization. The objective of the internship is to conduct a structural and prospective analysis of the current management of forest resource utilization processes in the Soatá region. To achieve this, field activities, cartography, and multitemporal analysis of vegetation coverage will be conducted. The obtained results will identify areas for improvement in processes and offer recommendations to optimize management and set objectives aligned with environmental conditions. Ultimately, this aims to contribute to forest conservation and the well-being of local communities depending on these resources.
