Resumen
The work developed consists in the design and development of a software tool free and open access, for the detection and correction of anomalous propagations of the data from a C-band weather radar in equatorial zones, specifically in the Colombian geography. Initially, the decoding of the data generated by the radar was carried out, these are supplied in a proprietary format of the brand manufacturer of the equipment. He developed the necessary algorithms to treat these data and to be able to be shown on a geographical map centered on the location of the radar. He implemented anomalous propagation detection and correction algorithms, developed in a referenced work. Subsequently, the modeling of the software, then the graphical user interface was developed and validated its correct functioning. The implementation algorithm "window filter" was developed variable length "as an alternative method for correcting propagations abnormalities and the results obtained with this were validated.
