Resumen
Given the environmental impact caused by odorous contamination in the areas surrounding the Zipa II WWTP in the Zipaquirá-Cundinamarca municipality, it is necessary to establish a Plan to reduce the impact of offensive odors. Finally, the activities to be developed in the internship work revolve around the fulfillment of a general objective that embodies the formulation of this plan for the WWTP Zipa II, in order to implement strategies, good practices or better techniques that seek prevention and/or mitigation of offensive odor emissions generated by plant activities in accordance with the requirements imposed by the environmental authority with jurisdiction in the territory (CAR). Regarding the stages to be developed, there is firstly a collection of primary information and documentary review (secondary information) that contains data related to the operation and unitary processes immersed in the operation of the Zipa II WWTP, together with what is relevant to the activities that generate offensive odors and odorous contamination. Secondly, an analysis of the units existing in the Zipa II WWTP will be carried out in order to determine the stages that generate offensive odors within its operation. Thirdly, the identification of good practices and best techniques that seek the prevention and/or mitigation of odorous contamination originating from unitary processes that generate offensive odors will be carried out. Fourth, the environmental management measures will be established for each of the good practices or best techniques identified in the previous stage with the respective goals and management and impact indicators. Fifth, we will proceed with the writing of the document product of the internship work throughout its development.
