Elaboración de un documento de recomendación de política (Policy Brief) del componente de salud en la resolución 2254 de 2017

Abstract

The purpose of this document is to recommend actions that can be taken from the health sector implement for each of the levels of prevention, alert and emergency established in Article 10 of Resolution 2254 of 2017 in the event of critical air pollution events. These recommendations are made from a systematic literature search in where 45 documents were consulted which include research articles, government documents, methodological guides, and reports from private organizations, among others. The main results are synthesized in a matrix of recommendations aimed at the national population and decision-making actors. Additionally, with Regarding the respective air quality, actions are proposed for the general population and for vulnerable groups in society such as the elderly, children, women in periods of pregnancy and people with pre-existing diseases. Each of the recommendations is based on the evidence obtained from the literature, as an input to guide the decision decision making that contributes to reducing the population's exposure to air pollution from critical air pollution events.
