Resumen
This report corresponds to the internship conducted at the Tango al Piso Professional School, where a three-month investigation of an adaptable, mutable, and transient liminal corporeality was proposed. This corporeality explored the tools of ballroom tango and contemporary dance for improvisation and knowledge absorption. This internship sought as a focal point the discovery and establishment of a "liminal corporeality," the term established for this internship. As a starting point, the qualities, dynamics, textures, and bodily intentions of the intern's body were examined in relation to the two chosen dance genres (ballroom tango and contemporary dance) to analyze the adaptability and functionality of this liminal corporeality. The importance of this internship was to corroborate two focal points: 1. the construction and existence of a liminal corporeality, 2. a possible training method to be applied to improvisation from and for liminal corporeality. The body of the intern-dancer will be supervised, accompanied, and guided through the training, formative, and creative processes of the Tango al Piso academy in this first exploration of liminal corporeality. Keywords: Improvisation, composition, liminal body, ballroom tango, contemporary dance, movement.
