Resumen
The learning process of a visual artist arises through the use of their investigative abilities from different avenues of exploration. In this case, the act of creation as a form of knowledge production develops through the experience gained by being immersed in the real professional field, in order to observe the processes carried out in a gallery and exhibition spaces, as these spaces serve as intermediaries between artists and collectors, buyers, or institutions interested in the artworks. This allows artists to navigate the art market and effectively manage their own work. From there, new interests emerge concerning the processes and methodologies that exist before artistic executions, as well as the need to regularly engage with a space such as an art gallery. For this reason, I decided to undertake an internship at the Instituto de Visión Gallery, as it provides an appropriate space where I can combine the experiences and knowledge acquired throughout my artistic career with the new interests and concerns previously mentioned. During the internship, I had the opportunity to accompany and learn about various processes, such as the handling of artworks, conservation status, certificates of authenticity, packaging techniques, the use of platforms for archiving and organization, inventory of works and materials, among other areas, which allowed me to broaden my experience by recognizing how a gallery focused on the commercialization of artworks operates.
