Resumen
The purpose of this internship project report is to present the activities carried out in the support process of the environmental component of the Terminal de Transporte S.A. - Submanagement of Planning and Projects, with respect to what is established in the Institutional Environmental Management Plan (PIGA). The PIGA is the planning instrument that starts from the analysis of the institutional environmental situation, with the purpose of providing information and arguments necessary for the approach of environmental management actions that primarily guarantee compliance with the eco-efficiency objectives established in Decree 456 of 2008, among other environmental actions contemplated by the entities and contribute to the totality of the environmental objectives established in the EMP (Ministry of Finance, n.d.).
The Transport Terminal, within its PIGA, contemplates eco efficiency, environmental quality and optimization objectives in the use of resources, which aim to achieve the development of programs that lead the Terminal de Transporte S.A. to save, be efficient, effective and environmentally equitable in each of the activities carried out in it, to provide, both to the transporter, traders, citizens and workers, a service based not only on quality standards, but also on environmental and social responsibility (Terminal de Transporte S.A, 2020).
Terminal de Transporte S.A, has 3 headquarters (North, Salitre and South), in which the PIGA is implemented with activities such as: -Measurements for monitoring the quality of drinking water, - Periodic inspections by the environmental component to follow up on the requirements established in the Port Health visits, - Follow-up on the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan regarding the proper collection in the development of the sanitary route and its final disposal, ensuring the collection of usable waste by the associations with which The Terminal has an agreement in each of the venues and the registration of Biciuarios in the three venues in the framework of the promotion of sustainable mobility. The activities, in addition to other activities carried out at each site, such as the monitoring of the PTAR (Wastewater Treatment Plant) at the El Salitre site, are part of the responsibilities assigned, which were executed in the 6-month period as agreed between the parties involved.
