In search of exploring new advances in home automation, the Francisco José de Caldas District University comes in search of new technologies based on research and student practices. Our objective with this degree project is to develop and integrate three concepts. The first concept to develop is the IOT technology this term, although it is not new, it is currently developing with great boom. This technology consists of devices that have a WiFi communication and thus can be controlled and monitored remotely. The next technology to work is the UPB communication, this protocol consists in the transmission of data through the electrical network. This idea was already developed at the District university, achieving communication between several peripherals and finally, it is desired to innovate in the development of a new prototype for the control of water or gas passage registers. Currently it has been a subject which has been delayed in the development of home automation this motivated us to implement a valve that allows the control of water or gas flow. This is desired to be versatile, easy to fit for the different registers that are in the houses as at the time of installation this is designed in order to be used in different applications that wish to implement in the future. Realizing a great breakthrough in home automation is desired to control the house with only one teacher who communicates through the power grid with the slaves: devices that will be in charge of sensing, monitoring or control. And remotely administer all devices with cloudmqtt platform. Establishing a competitive price in the market.
