The image contains a notice about Decree Number 825 of 1901 in which the following is decreed:
Art. 1 In addition to the official stores established by Decree number 44, the Warehouseman of salt in Bogota is authorized to commission, with due security and under his responsibility, the quantities of raw and compacted salt that he deems convenient for sale in the neighborhoods and places of the city where he deems it necessary, consulting the needs of consumption.
Art. 2. Twelve percent (12%) of the losses due to the division of the salt shall be recognized in favor of the Storekeeper, and he is authorized to pay this percentage, for the same reason, to the consignees who dispense the article.
Both in the official warehouses and in the consigning agencies up to a quantity of five arrobas may be sold to each buyer.
The weekly visit, which according to the provisions of Article 7 of Decree 424, was to be made in the Warehouses, shall henceforth be made on a monthly basis.
Finally, this Decree is given in Bogotá, on July 12, 1901 by Mr. José Manuel Marroquín and the Minister of Finance, Miguel Abadía Mendez.
