Análisis de la eficiencia en la recuperación de residuos sólidos aprovechables en la empresa Ecoblue SAS

Abstract

According to studies, in Colombia only about 17% of solid waste is recycled, which is a very small amount compared to the production of tons of garbage per year that go to landfills. Through companies and associations of recyclers, it has been possible to recycle, reuse and reduce what is commonly called "garbage" (Semana, 2021). The recovery of these usable wastes such as paper, cardboard, plastic, PET, scrap metal and even hazardous waste, can be put to good use and properly disposed of, reducing environmental pollution and reducing carbon dioxide CO2 by transforming them and generating new raw materials. This internship project will analyze the amount of usable waste that the company Ecoblue SAS can collect in the month of December and January, calculating the differences in the waste collected taking into account the local restrictions due to the pandemic covid-19, how it affects the collection and what types of waste have reached the company, in this way it will be possible to calculate how much waste has stopped reaching the landfill and how much CO2 has stopped being emitted into the atmosphere.
