Resumen
Juan de Acosta is a municipality belonging to the department of Atlántico that by 2020 has a very outdated cartography of its townships and populated centers, the largest scale plates found are 1: 10,000 from the year 1980, this not allow them to be correctly implement instruments for planning the development or the territorial ordering of the municipality. This information can be clearly seen in the Municipal Development Plan "The moment has come" 2016-2019 where maps belonging to the Juan de Acosta Territorial Ordering Scheme for 2012 are shown, currently this scheme has not been updated for 8 years, thus it not is practical for local authorities and does not comply with the regulations on this issue.
The project "Support to the cartographic update of Boca Tocino, Santa Veronica, San Jose de Saco and emerging populated centers of the municipality of Juan de Acosta, department of Atlantic" proposes as a solution to this cartographic outdatedization the creation of a basic cartographic of the villages and centers populated at scale 1: 5000. The updated mapping at this scale will allow the territorial body to have a useful and fundamental tool when implementing planning and sorting instruments in its constituency.
